Vacation Care

Our fun holiday program provides a planned but flexible range of child focused activities in a safe and caring environment.

The program includes excursions to many of Perths major attractions, incursions, swimming at Kwinana Recquatic, arts and crafts, drama, dress ups, music, science and so much more.

Enrolments open Monday 9 September 2019.

Ages

5 - 12 years old 

Cost

$70 per child / day - less CCS if applicable. No extra cost for excursions or incursions. 

Venue

The Vacation Care program utilises the facilities at Kwinana Recquatic including the Sports Stadium and Aquatic centre and other council facilities (i.e. library, computer room and games at the Darius Wells Community Centre).

The program also makes use of the Kwinana Adventure Playground and Calista Oval across the road (other side of Gilmore Avenue).

Operating hours

The Vacation Care program runs from Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm throughout the school holiday period (except public holidays).

Over the December/January holidays, the program does not run the week between Christmas and New Year.

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Our Service is registered with Centrelink, so families are able to claim CCS on their fees.

Medical Conditions

If your child has Anaphylaxis, Asthma or Allergies - the forms listed below must be completed and signed by a doctor prior to enrolment.

Excursion - Regular Outings

Regular outings are those which take place at the Service within the local neighbourhood, and means a walk to and from a destination that the Service visits regularly as part of its educational program. Like any other excursion a risk assessment is carried out and authorisation has to be sought.

If the excursion is a regualr outing, the authorisation is only required to be obtained once in a 12 month period. 
Families are requested to read the Risk Management Plan and sign the Excursion Authority Consent form for their children attending Vacation Care.

Participation in Extra - Curricular Activities

Our Service does understand that from time to time extra-curricular activities may be provided within the Kwinana Recquatic site and that some families may wish to access these for their children who are attending the Vacation Care Program. Where possible, the Service will work with local and wider community groups to support the provision of such activities within the legislative framework. If you wish for your child/ren to attend any extra-curricular activities please complete the following form and email to huda.rashid@kwinana.wa.gov.au, or deliver to Reception staff. Please familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions set in the form.
